Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC)

HVCA represents, especially in Spain, an important part of a house’s electrical consumption. We use an efficient device that allows our system to store heat and release it later, at night, when the temperature is lower. A problem of HVCA equipment is that the higher the external temperature the higher the demand, therefore working most of the time at a low efficiency. In summer, HVCA systems extract heat from the house and send it outside. The performance of this process descends when the external temperature increases.

In SMLsystem we want to separate the performance of the HVAC equipment from the external temperature. Because of that, our HVAC system sends the heat to a phase change material storage tank at a constant temperature. Thus, we can control the performance of the HVAC system. Heat remains in the storage tank until external conditions are more favorable: at night.
